RMJM Chooses Deltek Vision for a Real-Time View of Global Operations
One of the world’s largest architectural practices to rapidly deploy highly scalable, project-focused solution across all worldwide locations
London, UK, 20 February 2008 – Deltek, the leading provider of enterprise applications software for project-focused organisations, today announced that RMJM, one of the world’s largest architectural practices, is deploying Deltek Vision across its entire global operation. The move, which follows RMJM’s merger with Hillier, the US-based architectural design firm, will see Vision rolled out across its fifteen locations across Europe, Asia the Middle East and the US – replacing all current systems.
As a rapidly-expanding international company, UK-based RMJM has chosen Vision for its scalability - and its speed of deployment as it aims to have the new solution up and running worldwide by the middle of this year. However, its prime objective is the integration and centralisation of all finance and project information for use by architects and accounts departments alike, giving fast accessibility to real-time project data and avoiding the creation of silos of information at each individual site. As a result, RMJM will benefit from having a total overview of its global business at any given time.
Headquartered in Edinburgh and with around 1,200 staff, RMJM has a reputation for highly-creative and ambitious designs and is particularly known for its work on the Stirling Prize-winning Scottish Parliament complex of buildings. In June 2007, it announced its intention to merge with Hillier and now adds New York, Philadelphia, Princeton and Washington to its location list, alongside London, Cambridge, Glasgow, Warsaw. Dubai, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai.
Because of this extensive market reach it was keen to buy software from a global provider. Other considerations included Vision’s low lifetime cost of ownership and the fact that it is straightforward to use for finance, business and design-focused personnel.
